Little Flower Fairy

Ever since this image became available for free from All Dressed Up, I have been wanting to color it. I finally got around to it today. I needed to practice using these remarkable Copic Markers. I'm really pleased with how well I did, considering I don't use these markers very often.
Little Flower Fairy is mounted on several layers of card stock and embellished with a flower made from prefab pieces and some adhesive pearls.
I had fun coloring her and I am entering a few challenges just to show off how well I did!

Beach Sweet Hearts

Beach Sweet hearts
Scrapper's Delights Shop
It's time for my Scrapper's Delights Mid Inspirational Design Team card. It's almost Summer here in Florida, it kind of seems to be skipping Spring and I'm not at all sure, if we even had a winter! So in honor of Summer 2016, here are the Beach Sweet Hearts, a Scrapper's Delights image. The lovely blue cloudy sky is another Scrapper's Delights product...Natures Little Wonders Paper Pack.

The cute couple on the bench was colored using Faber-Castell Polychromos. The colored image and the sky paper were placed in the Craft Artist 2 program and merged with other background pieces from the Craft Scapes Summer Seaside digikit and along with some text.

The scene was printed twice. I cut the Beach Sweet Hearts colored image out and used soft pads to adhere it to the top of the scene.

I'm looking forward to seeing some new challenge entries at Scrapper's Delights.

Back to School

The current challenge at A Snowflakes Promise is sponsored by Joanna Sheen. Since the theme is anything goes, I am getting in some practice with the "Copic Coloring Guide." Here's a sweet boy with his backpack ready to start the new school year. It kind of reminds me of my grandson. His family has recently moved and he will be starting a new school in the fall.

This cutie was color using Copic Markers and I design the plaid shirt, following the guide. For the rest of the color check my list below"
Hair - E21, E23, E25
Skin - E30, E21
Shirt - B24, B34, YG13
Pants -  B24, B37
Shoes - B41

The boy was cut out leaving a narrow white edge and then layered over several sheet of scrapbook card stock.

The background of this card is made up of various pieces from the "An ABC Primer" stack from Graphic 45.

Chaplin Bookmark

Charlie Chaplin B44
Charlie Chaplin B44

Mari Digis Challenge Blog
There's a new challenge at Mari Digis and I decided to design a bookmark using one of the unique images available at either the Facebook group or at the shop.

I chose to use Charlie Chaplin B44, part of the Cinema Collection, for my Design Team inspirational bookmark. I colored him with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils and Prismacolor Blender. I cut him out and made a background bookmark from bits and pieces of left over Graph 45, Curtain Call scrap book paper. I adhered the colored image to the bookmark.

This original layered bookmark was then scanned, printed,  and laminated. The final step was to punch a hole at the top and embellish with ribbon.

I hope you're inspired by my Charlie Chaplin bookmark and enter your own project in the Mari Digi Challenge, where anything goes.

The Lady in Pink

Here's another card with my Copic Marker practice! The image is from the Copic Coloring Guide book and disk. For the markers I used check the list below. Here again my Copic collection doesn't include some of the recommended colors, but using some on line favorite color combination have worked well so far.

After working on the shading and coloring of this young lady, I cut her out leaving a narrow white edge. I used a pretty print paper dotted with rhinestones to adhere the colored image to. A solid purple was used a a mat for the print and was adhered to the white base card.

Skin tones: E30, E21, E11
Lips: RV34
Hair: E13, E15, E18
Dress: R81, R83, R85

I hope you are enjoying my practice pieces. Come back again soon.

Happy Birthday Boy

I'm still finding my way using Copic Markers. I borrowed a book and disk set (Copic Coloring Guide Level 3) from a friend to help me continue on that journey. This boy is shown in the book and I printed him from the disk. Some Copic Markers were suggested for the boys face, but since I didn't have all, I made some substitutions. Check my list below. They worked out fine. For the rest of him, I used suggested combination that I found on line. Check my list.

Skin: E11, E13, YR00
Sweater: R24, R29, R39
Jeans: B34, B37, B39
Shoes: B32, C3, C5
Hair: Y13, Y15,  Y17
Ball: V17, BV11, BV08

I cut the little fellow out leaving a narrow white edge, happy birthday was cut on the Cricut Cutting Machine. I layered printed paper over card stock and adhered it over the blue card base. The boy and the sentiment were added last.

Come again and see more of my Copic journey!!

Scrapper's Delights shop
There's a new challenge at Scrapper's Delights and I'm on the Design Team! For my inspirational card, I used 2 Scrapper's Delights products. These are Fruity Babies Strawberry and CU - Paper 1-2.

I colored this cute image with Copic Markers and placed it in the Craft artist 2 program, where I merged it with 1-2 of the CU - Paper pack. I printed the scene and printed a second Strawberry Baby. I cute this one out and applied soft pads to adhere it to the top of the scenic Strawberry.

There are several Fruity Babies and all are adorable. The CU - Paper Pack is wonderful, as backgrounds for many different images. I'm looking forward to seeing other examples of these being used in the current challenge at Scrapper's Delights.

Ankle Deep

digistamps4joy
It's time for some new releases at Digistamps4joy. There are so many beautiful ones, it's too hard to choose, but in the end, it was Ankle Deep, which won me over. When you live 7 miles from the beach, Salt Life gets in your blood!

For my Design Team inspirational card, I put Ankle Deep in the Craft artist 2 program and merged the PNG image with a scene from the Natural Landscapes digikit and a couple of items from the CS Summer Seaside digikit. After printing the scene I colored it using Prismacolor Pencils.

Ribbon/Tag

Digistamps4joy shop
Digistamps4Joy challenge
I am enjoying working with the Digistamps4Joy Design Team. For the current challenge, I chose Art Deco Beauty, a lovely butterfly for my inspirational project. The theme of this challenge is anything goes with the option of adding a ribbon.

I colored the butterfly using Derwent Inktense Pencils. I cut out the image leaving a white edge and adhered sticky pearls to the wings.

The tag was cut twice using the Graphic 45 Secret Garden paper stack. One tag was cut at 7" and the other at 7 1/2". I cut the tag on top of the smaller tag, so it goes straight across. The 2 tags were layered and the butterfly was partially glued on top. Small punched butterflies were added along with a yellow ribbon bow and a green ribbon loop.

I hope you will join us in the challenge at Digistamps4Joy, where the theme is anything goes and the twist is to add a ribbon.
