French Café Cards

A couple of months ago, I noticed Sheena Douglass’ French Collection on the Crafterscompanion.blogspot.com. I fell in love with the two sets “A Little Bit Scenic,” the French 50’s Café and Provence. There are so many combinations you can make using these in creating vintage scenes.
The owner of the local scrapbook store, Gingham Buttons 2 here in Palm Coast, Florida, ordered the 2 set bundle for me. The picture above is my take of a card I saw online using these lovely stamps! I gave it to a cousin as a gift and she plans to frame it!
I had a great time designing cards using a varied color scheme. I used, Stazon jet black to stamp my images and colored them with Tombow watercolor markers and blended the colors with my water brush.

After showing them off back at the store, I discovered I could further embellish these cards using Flower-Soft. This product gives my cards some texture and dimension. Check this out at www.Flower-Soft.com. To give a 3D effect I place some of my fussy cut images on pop dots.

To see a wide variety of Sheena Douglass stamped images used on cards go to www.sheena.tv.There are plenty more ideas to try!
